Unfortunate Czech weekend does not reflect Luke’s promise or performance

The Czech round of the WorldSSP championships proved an unfortunate weekend for Luke Power. After positive qualifying, he did not manage to complete even one lap in either race: in the first he burnt the clutch at the green light and in the second he had a technical problem.

“It was definitely one of my best race weekends, at least in the tests. My times were very close to Tom’s and I was very pleased with that. It was a pity that I couldn’t start in either race. I had set off very well at the start of race one, but the red flag interrupted the race. At the second start, unfortunately, I burnt the clutch and had to give up. In race two, however, it was a technical problem that blocked me on the starting grid.It’s a real shame, given my times in the free practice and the growing harmony with the bike, I’m sure we could have done very well!”
